AVVA 1020 has established a PTSD Peer to Peer Support Group for Significant Others of Veterans and Active Duty Military who suffer from Military-PTSD. Because PTSD also affects non family members such as Friends, Neighbors and Co-Workers, we welcome participation by those individuals as well. This Group is a confidential place to share and support each other through a peer to peer forum. Due to the sensitive nature of this group, all participants must be at least 18 yrs. old, exceptions may be considered per parent's request. Please submit request via email (below) prior to the meeting.
When & Where:
Meetings: 1st Sunday of Each Month
Location: Sierra Vista Library - Mona Bishop Room.
Time: 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Free Child Care: Our Childcare Volunteer "Miss Morganne" is Red Cross Certified. The children will have activities, books and videos in adjoining conference room. Parents must sign in each child, and agree that VVA 1020, it's members and volunteers hold no liability for your child.
Donations are gratefully accepted to help defray Volunteer Expenses.
Please join us and help make this effort as supportive and effective as possible by sharing your own life experiences... all we ask is that you take what you need, leave what you don't where you heard it and respect the privacy of every person involved.
